Our community and centre provide a safe space and access to specialist services to help survivors of domestic violence rebuild their confidence and security.
We collaborate with trusted domestic abuse partners to offer survivors both emotional and practical support. From helping them access safe housing to connecting them with trauma-focused counseling, we are dedicated to empowering survivors as they reclaim control of their lives in a supportive and understanding environment.

Our ex-offender pathways focus on breaking the cycle of reoffending by addressing the root causes of challenges faced after release. Through personalized growth plans, mentorship, and access to employment and housing, we provide the tools needed for a successful transition back into society.

Shannon Courtenay
CEO & Founder
Shannon Courtenay, a Professional Boxer and WBA World Champion, brings her passion for making a difference to her role as CEO of Zeal Community. With a strong background in charitable work, Shannon has collaborated with several organizations in London, including mental health charities and initiatives aimed at helping young people leave the streets and find purpose in boxing gyms. Her efforts have contributed to reducing crime rates, particularly knife crime, by inspiring positive change through sport. As CEO, Shannon combines her dedication, leadership, and real-world experience to drive Zeal Community's mission of empowering individuals and transforming lives.
Gerard Kinsella
COO & Ambassador
With over 15 years of experience in the education and sports industries, Gerard Kinsella has dedicated his career to supporting vulnerable young people in their journey toward employment and meaningful careers. As a former professional football player, Gerard understands the transformative power of sport and education in creating opportunities and inspiring change. Gerard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Coaching, a Level 4 Teaching Qualification, a UEFA B Coaching License, and an Advanced Youth Award, combining his qualifications with hands-on experience to help individuals reach their full potential.
Michael Kinsella
Funding & Prison Lead
Michael brings extensive experience in Community Interest Companies (CICs), charities, education, and training. Having worked with hundreds of young people across Liverpool, Michael has dedicated his career to providing support in education and employment. His diverse background includes roles within football clubs, charities, and colleges, giving him a unique perspective and deep understanding of the challenges faced by those Zeal aims to support. With lived experience at the heart of his approach, Michael is passionate about empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and create brighter futures. As the Managing Director of Zeal Community, he leads with compassion, purpose, and a commitment to making a difference
